Act Now: Your Gift Fuels Community Solutions!
As we enter our first year ever without federal funding, your support empowers us to continue our work that began in 2011: artists + scientists + community members collaborating to make sustainability tangible through the arts.
The deadline of December 31st is quickly approaching. We are over two-thirds of the way to our fundraising goal. If one in four of our newsletter readers gave just $10, we would reach our goal today.
We know you have undoubtedly received many appeals, so we want to share with you just a snapshot of the impact you make possible. These numbers aren’t just numbers — they reflect real artists, scientists, and community members working on projects to make our cities more sustainable for future generations and strengthen the fabric of our communities.
If you believe that the arts are essential in helping us with the complex issues in our cities in dealing with climate change, please make a year-end gift now.
Your year-end gift centers artists’ essential role in building public engagement around solutions to critical environmental challenges.
It supports artist and scientist-led WALKS that engage the public in raising awareness of the unseen and threatened aspects of their environment;
It funds WORKSHOPS for 30-40 community representatives to explore local environmental challenges and create a springboard for arts & design-based projects; and
It champions PROJECTS by artists which address local concerns and engage the community in meeting them.
Watch the video below to step inside some of CALL's programming and hear from Mary Miss about the role of the arts in combating the climate crisis.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Wishing you a joyful end to the year!
With gratitude,
The City as Living Laboratory Team
