ACTION AUCTION: City as Living Laboratory's 10th Anniversary Benefit

  • City as Living Laboratory (CALL) (map)

Join us in celebrating 10 years of City as Living Laboratory (CALL) at our ACTION AUCTION and BENEFIT, and bid on unique, one-on-one experiences with the artists, scientists, ecologists, and architects shaping the future of our cities.

Over the last decade City as Living Laboratory (CALL) has brought together thousands of artists, scientists, and community members in collaborations that create sustainable solutions to urgent environmental issues. Our ACTION AUCTION and BENEFIT celebrates this; each one-of-a-kind auction experience has been dreamt up by a visionary in their field to connect you deeply to CALL's mission in unique and meaningful ways, and our benefit program features all the insightful content you've come to expect from us.

Our March 24 livestream BENEFIT, hosted by PBS presenter and journalist Laura Flanders, will feature a discussion with Agnes Gund and award-winning landscape architect Walter Hood, a reading by essayist Garnette Cadogan, a discussion with CALL's founder Mary Miss, interactive breakout rooms with leading artists, scientists, and ecologists, spotlights on CALL's projects from the Bronx to Milwaukee, and more.

Our ACTION AUCTION, live now, features conversations, walks, behind-the-scenes tours, and experiences with artists, scientists, architects and designers working at the forefront of re-imagining our cities for a sustainable future. From a one-on-one conversation with NASA climatologist Cynthia Rosenzweig, to a private tour of the newly-built Pier 26 on Manhattan's west side Lucinda R. Sanders FASLA and Demetrios Staurinos, RLA, of Olin Studio, to a private day-trip to Long Island touring sustainable projects with with architect Bill Ryall and ecological artist Lillian Ball, to a custom designed cocktail kit by multiple-award-winning bartender Chris Hanna, bid today to walk, talk, make and learn - and to take action. The auction is live now and closes at midnight on March 24th. Register to bid now!
